Guanyinting is the most precious ancient temple in Penghu. It is situated beside the Youth Activity Center. Standing in front of the temple, you can enjoy the sunset of Siyu Island which is marvelous, and which has been known as “Guanyin Xi Zhao,” meaning “the sunset of Guanyin.” 400 years ago, in the official annals, the scenery was described as “wide expanses of mist-covered water, with a secluded and extensive view,” and gained the fame of the “Fairyland of Siyin”.

Located in the southern tip of the PenghuFong-GueiIsland, Fong-GueiCave is one of the well-known attractions in Penghu which visitors should not miss. It is used to be known as the “Fong-Guei Tail”. Here, because the unique basalt columnar joints in Penghu
are highly developed, and are long-term eroded by the ocean waves, there formed a narrow ocean-erosion ditch.

The end of ocean-erosion ditch is eroded into an ocean-erosion cave, on the top of which there is a pinhole stretching into the ocean-erosion cave along the joint gap. Each week when the tides are coming, the ocean waves rush into the ocean-erosion cave
along the ocean-erosion ditch, and as the air inside the cave is strongly squeezed, it often sounds “Hoo…Hoo”, like the sound of blast furnace which once people used to make a fire. Therefore, Fong-GueiCave is most famous for “Fong-Guei Wave Sound”, the best
place in PenghuCounty to hear wave sound.

If you are lucky, when the waves are particularly strong, you can even see the pinholes on the roof of the cave emitting high column of water, which is very spectacular.

In particular, accompanied by the special landscape of basalt, it looks very magnificent when overlooked in the early morning or sunset, full of poetic beauty.

Next to Fong-Guei Cave, there is a cute two-story shell-shaped pavilion. You can go to appreciate the whole scenery and observe the spectacular basalt erosion features.

At the side, there sell the Penghu specialties baked rolls and cold drinks. When visiting here, you should not only pay attention to the characteristics of topography, and listen to the well-known waves, but also should pay special attention to safety, because
there is a recreation area without lifeguard configuration. We often see some tourists go down the rugged rock, but in fact, it is very dangerous. Anyhow, please pay special attention to safety here.

"Starry Kueibi" of Beiliao Kueibi is one of the eight most renowned views in Penghu, and wave-chasing in Kueibishan, Beiliao, has become an important tourism resource in Penghu. The origin of the name Kueibishan: When looking at Beiliao coast from a distance, its mountain is shaped like a sea turtle bending over on the sea, therefore it was called "turtle wall mountain" (gueibishan), and later on renamed Kueibishan using its homonymic sound.

In the past, on a full-moon night, when there were still many fishing boats on out the sea towards the east, basked in the soft moonlight, you would feel as if you were part of the starry sky; thus such view was named "Starry Kueibi".

Hujing is surrounded by column basalt cliffs, beneath which the water is exceptionally clear. Perhaps the transparency of the water here helps explain the legend of the sunken fortress.

In the 17th century, it is said, the Dutch came here and built a fortress that later sank into the sea in the midst of a battle. Scholars who have come to explore the area in recent years have made no significant discoveries, leaving the sunken fortress a 300-year mystery.

Hujing Island (Tiger Well Island) is the 7th largest island of Penghu Archipelago. The unique contour of the island affords some of most majestic cliffs especially on the east and west. It's named according to a legend that there was once a tiger crouching in a dry cave at the southeast of the island. The Hujing Island is surrounded by column basalt cliffs, beneath which the water is crystal clear. You are able to see brick wall structure built by the Dutch underneath during low tide. Rumors have it that there is a sunken city on the seabed. Whether the myth is true or not, further proof as well as your visit are expected.

外垵村三仙塔分為東、西三仙塔，共兩處。東三仙塔已被周圍銀合歡覆蓋，西三仙塔位於村落西側，矗立於山崖上，周圍更有幾座小型碉堡及燒磚廠，位置居高臨下俯瞰整個外垵村。據說外垵村東西山丘相互對峙，先民認為東面山頭向南延伸較短，根據男為左女為右，早期以漁業為主的外垵村，男性經常發生船難，認定是聚落先天地理環境影響所致。依照溫府王爺指示在東西山頭各別建造三座石塔，東為西南走向，西為南北走向，一方延伸山勢意味著，延長男性的壽命，一方目的為縮短女性壽命，達到男女齊壽的功能。三仙塔所在位置即為外垵村制高點，將外垵美景盡收眼底，隨夕陽西下，更增添幾分色彩。
